20th Century Italian Single Murano Glass Vase by Ercole Barovier
A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian single vase made of hand blown clear Murano glass, designed by Ercole Barovier and produced by Barovier & Toso, in good condition. The décor piece is from the Lenti series. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1960, Murano, Italy.
Ercole Barovier was an Italian entrepreneur and designer born in 1889 Murano, Italy and passed away in 1974. Barovier went to study in Venice to become a doctor, but never finished his studies. After World War I, in 1920, he decided to work with his father, proving to have an incredible talent in glass making. In 1929, he discovered the Primavera technique, a transparent and crackled glass. In 1936, Barovier took over the company.
