20th Century Italian Vintage Walnut Round Center, Game Table by Luciano Frigerio
A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian center, game table made of hand crafted polished Walnut, designed by Luciano Frigerio in good condition. The thick round top is supported by a sculptural polished bronze leg which is resting on a wooden base. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1960 - 1970, Italy.
Luciano Frigerio was an Italian designer, artist, and musician born in 1927 Desio, Italy and passed away in 1999. Frigerio attended the junior school at The Collegio Paola di Rosa in Desio, later on he finished his technical and administrative studies at the Pio XI College. One of his employees who worked close together with Frigerio helped him to realize one of his dreams, work, that was to create a unique piece of furniture, made with excellent and elegant materials. From this idea "Mobili Scultura" ( furniture sculpture ) was born, which created a new style coming from the industrial production of that era. Many pieces of his furniture, designed by Frigerio are present in important Italian museums.
