20th Century Italian Large Mahogany Cocktail Bar Attributed to Osvaldo Borsani

A large vintage Mid-Century modern Italian cocktail bar with a counter made of hand crafted polished Mahogany and Rosewood, designed most likely by Osvaldo Borsani, in good condition. The top part of the L-form bar features a cabinet with two interior glass shelves and the back wall is embellished with the original mirrored glass. The grooved front cabinet door is enhanced by two detailed ceramic décor pieces which are most likely designed by Federico Quatrain, same as the hardware. The lower part contains a single glass shelf with two smoked sliding doors. The curved counter is composed with a small drawer and a small cupboard. Two smoked sliding doors open to an interior glass shelf. The elevated arched marble top is supported by four polished arched brass legs. The counter is standing on two brass feet. Minor ships, scratches on the original marble top, due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940 - 1960, Italy.
Osvaldo Borsani was born in 1911, in Varedo, Italy and passed away in 1985, in Milan, Italy. He was an Italian architect and designer. Borsani started working at an early age in the family business and in 1953, he founded a company named Tecno with his brother Fulgenzio which later on became a world-leading manufacturer in office designing.
