Paolo Buffa

Paolo Buffa (1903-1970) was a renowned Italian architect and designer known for his elegant, Art Deco-inspired furniture. After studying architecture and engineering, he founded his own design firm in the 1930s. Buffa's designs stand out for their intricate attention to detail, sophisticated craftsmanship, and the use of luxurious materials such as brass, marble, and exotic woods. His iconic furniture pieces, including chairs, tables, and sideboards, blended the refined elegance of Neo-Classical influences with the bold style of Art Deco. Despite being somewhat overshadowed by contemporaries like Gio Ponti and Carlo Mollino, Buffa’s work gained recognition for its unique appeal and exceptional quality.
