A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian two seater sofa or settee with two pillows, designed and produced by ISA Bergamo, in good condition. The seat backrest of small divano, canapé has a floating back with gently, slim outstretched arms, supported by four arched gold painted metal feet. Manufacturer label underneath. Model Nr. 15148. Newly upholstered in a dark-grey cotton velour. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1960, Italy.

I.S.A. Industria Salotti e Arredfamenti, also known as ISA, ISA Bergamo and ISA was an Italian furniture manufacturer, founded in the late 1940’s in Ponte San Pietro, a small village outside of Bergamo, Italy. The company produced the art work, designed by the famous architect and designer Giovanni Ponti and also worked together with the well-known Italian painter Angelo Morbelli and many other famous artists. Until today, the Vintage ISA furniture is highly sought after.
