A black, vintage Chinese screen made of hand crafted lacquered wood, in good condition. The large, detailed Chinoiserie style room divider is composed with eight adjustable panels standing on short wooden feet which are inserted in polished brass caps. Each of the painted panels are depicting a different scenery, such as a historical garden setting with traditional houses, surrounded by many colorful birds which are hand carved into the wood. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940 - 1950, China.
