A vintage Mid-Century modern Danish pair of open armchairs made of hand crafted polished Teakwood, designed by Kai Kristiansen in good condition. The back rest of the Scandinavian low back lounge chairs are spindled and curved with slim, arched armrests, standing on four wooden feet. Newly upholstered in a white-grey cotton fabric. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950, Copenhagen, Denmark, Scandinavia.

Kai Kristiansen is a Danish furniture designer born in 1929, in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1915, Kristiansen went to The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and finished his apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker under the Danish designer Kaare Klint. Kristiansen opened his own office in 1955, in Copenhagen. He is best-known for his elegant and geometric Mid-Century Modern cabinets, tables and dining chairs.
