A vintage Art Deco Style French polar bear sculpture made of hand crafted patinated bronze, designed and produced by Pierre Chenet in good condition. The detailed décor piece is very similar to the bear from Francois Pompon which is located at the François Pompon Museum in Saulieu, France. Stamped P. Chenet at the bottom. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1930 - 1950, France.

Pierre Chenet was a French sculptor, born in the 20th Century. He is known for his bronze sculpture, his signature is a stamp with a three-pointed crown. Chenet's 's personal life and professional training remains lost in history.
