20th Century French Vintage Art Deco Single Walnut Armchair by Paul Follot

An early 20th Century, single vintage French Art Deco armchair made of hand crafted polished designed by Paul Follot, in good condition. The detailed Parisian center, side chair is composed with a wide, slightly inclined backrest with tall, arched armrests, standing on four short wooden legs, enhanced by detailed flower wood carvings. Newly upholstered in a white cotton velvet. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1920 - 1930, Paris, France.

Paul Follot was a French luxury furniture designer, born in 1877, in Paris, France and passed away in 1941. He is considered one of the leaders of the Art Deco movement, Follot had a huge impact in France and elsewhere. After the First World War, he became the head of the Pomone decorative art workshop of the well-know Parisian department store Le Bon Marché.
