A large, vintage Mid-Century modern Italian chandelier made of hand blown frosted opaline glass designed and produced by Stilnovo, in good condition. The detailed rectangular pendant is particularized by seventeen half rounded glass shades which are imitating a cloud, halted by a short arm which are supported by long arms, hanging on to a long polished brass base. Each of lights features a single light socket. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940 - 1950, Milan, Italy.

During the Mid-Century Modern era the Stilnovo brand was one of the most pioneered lighting design companies in Italy, also known as the Stilnovo Period. Well-known artists have worked and designed for Stilnovo, such as the Italian architect and designer Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Joe Cesare Colombo, etc. To this day, the Stilnovo brand is still a benchmark in the Italian lighting history.
