20th Century Italian Modern Vintage Beechwood Dining Room Table by Urano Palma

A round, vintage Mid-Century modern Italian dining room table made of hand crafted solid, partly bleached Beechwood designed and produced by Urano Palma, in good condition. The sculptural drilled, worm-eaten table is composed with a hexagon top which is supported by a pyramidal wooden base, resting on four short wooden feet. Engraved Urano Palma at the base. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1960 - 1970, Milan, Italy.

Urano Palma was an Italian furniture designer born in 1936, in Varese, Italy and passed away in 2010. During his youth, Palma moved around a lot, but settled in the end in Milan, where he had the possibilities to meat great designers and artists, such as the Italian designer Lucio Fontana. During his career, he held shows in Germany, France, Spain, USA and South Korea.
