A tall, vintage Mid-Century modern Italian single Rostri vase made of hand blown slightly smoked Murano glass, designed by Ercole Barovier for Barovier & Toso, in good condition. The décor piece is from the Lenti series, particularized by yellow flakes. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940, Murano, Italy.

Ercole Barovier was an Italian entrepreneur and designer born in 1889, in Murano, Italy and passed away in 1974. Barovier went to study in Venice to become a doctor, but never finished his studies. After World War I, in 1920, he decided to work with his father, proving to have an incredible talent in glass making. In 1929, he discovered the Primavera technique, a transparent and crackled glass. In 1936, Barovier took over the company.
