20th Century White American Set of Six DSR Vitra Chairs by Charles & Ray Eames

A white, vintage Mid-Century modern American set of six DSR side chairs made of hand crafted metal and plastic, designed by Charles & Ray Eames in good condition. The Vitra dinner room chairs have an inclined backrest, supported by a chrome frame, standing on four arched legs. Manufacturer label under the seat. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1970, United States.

Charles Eames was born in 1907, in St. Louis, Missouri, United States of America and passed away in 1978. He was an American designer, architect and film maker, married to the American designer Ray-Bernice Alexandra Kaiser Eames. Eames went to study at the Washington University in St. Louis, but he never finished his study. With his wife, Eames is responsible for pioneering contributions in the field of architecture, furniture design, industrial design, manufacturing and the photographic.
