A sculptural, vintage Mid-Century modern Swedish table lamp with a new white round shade, made of hand blown slightly smoked glass designed by Olle Alberius and produced by Orrefors, in good condition. The detailed Scandinavian cylindrical desk light is composed with its original brass frame, featuring a single light socket. Manufacturer label at the base. Model Nr. 2214. The wires have been renewed. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1975 - 1980, Sweden, Scandinavia.

Olle Alberius was a Swedish ceramicist and a glass designer, artist born in Jönköping, South of Sweden and passed away in 1993. In 1952, Sven-Olof Alberius began his education at the Konstfack in Stockholm. After four years, in 1956, he went to Syco Ceramic in Strömstad, West of Stockholm where began to work as a designer until 1965. In 1971, he started to design and work for Orrefors where he remained for the rest of his career.
