A light-brown, vintage Mid-Century modern pair of Italian sculptural lounge, club chairs made of hand crafted polished Ebony designed most likely by Giovanni ‚Nino‘ Zoncada, in good condition. The seat backrest of the armchairs are  curved with slim outstretched, arched arms standing on four conical wooden feet. The upholstery is most likely original. Minor fading on the faux leather, due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940 - 1950, Italy.

Giovanni ‚Nino‘ Zoncada was an Italian furniture designer, born in 1898, in Venice, Italy  and passed away in 1988. After Zoncada finished his studies at The Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, he started working and designing furniture for luxury ships. During his life time, he worked, corporate with many well-known architects and designers, such as Gio Ponti, Gustavo Pulitzer-Finale, Pietro Chiesa, Gino Sarfatti, etc.
