1940s French Art Deco Rambaudi-Dantoine Rosewood Cabinet by Jean Desnos

A vintage Art Deco French cabinet made of hand crafted polished Rosewood, designed by Jean Desnos and produced by Rambaudi-Dantoine in good condition. The cupboard is composed with three doors, the frame is detailed with a gold-coloured mirror strip, standing on a rectangular base, supported by four curved diamond-shaped thread, feet inlays on the front. The central door has a round bronze plaque, showing a centaur with a female nude, signed Desnos. The interior of the tall commode consists three shelves with two drawers and round brass handles, pulls. Restored, refurbished and hand polished. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940 - 1950, France.

Jean Desnos was a French furniture designer born and passed away in France. Desnos's personal life and professional training remains lost in history.
