1960s Grey Italian Two-Seater Walnut Love Settee by Guglielmo Ulrich

A small, vintage Mid-Century modern Italian two-seater love settee with two pillows, made of hand carved polished Walnut, designed by Guglielmo Ulrich in good condition. The seat backrest of the sofa, canapé is slightly reclined with slim, floating arms and resting on sculptural blonde wooden legs. Newly upholstered in a white-grey cotton fabric. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1960, Milan, Italy.

Guglielmo Ulrich was an Italian furniture designer, architect and a painter, born in 1904, in Milan, Italy and passed away in 1977. In 1924, Ulrich started studying at The Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. In 1927, he finished his studied at The Polytechnic University of Milan. Later on, in 1930, Ulrich and Scaglian and Wild founded their own company Arca ( Arredamento casa, Home Furnishing ), they were specialized in creating, designing high-end furniture. In the 1950's, he concentrated more in designing buildings, offices and retail stores throughout Italy.
