A gold-black, vintage Mid-Century modern Italian reading wall lamp, light made of hand crafted polished brass, designed and produced by Stilnovo in good condition. The round lacquered aluminum shade is supported by a flexible stem, beam halted by two adjustable arms, featuring a single light socket. Signed, marked Stilnovo. Brevettato Patent. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1960, Milan, Italy.

Stilnovo was an Italian lighting and design company founded in 1946, in Milan by the well-known Italian designer Bruno Gatta. During the Mid-Century Modern era the Stilnovo brand was one of the most pioneered lighting design companies in Italy, also known as the Stilnovo Period.
