Alfréd Réth was a Hungarian, French painter, born in 1884, in Budapest, Hungary and passed away in 1966, in France. After he completed his studies in 1905, in Nagybánya, Romania, he moved to Paris, where he discovered the art of Cézanne and Hindu art. He was a part, member of the cubist movement. By the 60's, he became a successful, famous artist, his works were represented in well-known galleries, in Paris and Saint Tropez. Réth's personal life remains lost in history.
Fernand Berckelaers, pseudonym Michel Seuphor was a Belgian painter, born in 1901, in Borgerhout, the smaller district of Antwerp, Belgium and passed away in 1999, in Paris, France. In 1921, in Antwerp, Seuphor established a literary magazine, Het Overzicht a Dutch magazine. During his time, he also wrote and edited three books.
