20th Century Italian Arredoluce Polished Brass Floor Lamp by Angelo Lelii

A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian floor lamp made of hand crafted polished brass with its original light switch, designed by Angelo Lelii and produced by Arredoluce in good condition. The detailed light is composed of six flexible arched arms, particularized by blue-white leaf glass shades. Each contains a single light socket. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1960, Italy.

Angelo Lelii, born Paolo Angelo Lelii, he was an Italian lighting and furniture designer, born in 1915, in Ancona, Italy and passed away in 1979. Later on, Lelii moved with his family to Milan, where he started to work and married Rosa Bianca Bussetti. Around 1940, they both moved to Monza, north of Milan, where he opened his own company Arredoluce, specialized is creating high end furniture and lighting. During the 1950’s, he worked with well known architects and designers, such as Franco Albini, Gio Ponti, Ettore Sottsass, etc.
