20th Century Italian Pair of Faux Leather Lounge Chairs Attributed to Nino Zoncada

A light-brown, vintage Mid-Century modern Italian pair of sculptural lounge chairs made of hand crafted polished Ebony, most likely designed by Giovanni ‚Nino‘ Zoncada in good condition. The seat backrest of the armchairs are curved with slim outstretched, arched arms standing on four conical wooden feet. Minor fading on the original faux leather, due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940 - 1950, Italy.

Giovanni ‚Nino‘ Zoncada was an Italian furniture designer, born in 1898, in Venice, Italy and passed away in 1988. After Zoncada finished his studies at The Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, he stated working and designed furniture for luxury ships. During his life time, he worked, corporate with many well-know architects and designers, such as Gio Ponti, Gustavo Pulitzer-Finale, Pietro Chiesa, Gino Sarfatti, etc.
