20th Century Set of Two Italian Carrara Marble Side Tables by Angelo Mangiarotti

pe-1512

A set of two vintage Mid-Century modern Italian side tables made of hand crafted white Carrara marble Arabescato designed by Angelo Mangiarotti for Skipper - Eros series, in good condition. The sculptural tables by Angelo Mangiarotti are a skillful example of postmodern design. The tables are executed in white natural stone and locks into the marble cone base. The Lotus-shaped tabletop features no joints or clamps and is architectural in its structure. The top 'locks' itself onto the marble cone and keeps it in place because of the weight of the material. No label. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1960 - 1970, Milan, Italy.
