A sculptural, vintage Mid-Century modern Swedish table lamp with a new beige round shade, made of hand blown slightly smoked glass, designed by Olle Alberius for Orrefors in good condition. The detailed Scandinavian cylindrical desk light is composed with a chrome ring, resting on a black wooden base. Manufacturer label at the base. Signed Orrefors. Model Nr. AD2369-271. The wires have been renewed. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1975 - 1980, Sweden, Scandinavia.

Olle Alberius was a Swedish ceramicist and a glass designer, artist born in Jönköping, South of Sweden and passed away in 1993. In 1952, Sven-Olof Alberius started his education at the Konstfack in Stockholm. After four years, in 1956, he went to Syco Ceramic in Strömstad, West of Stockholm where started to work as a designer until 1965. In 1971, he started to design and work for Orrefors where he stayed for the rest of his carrier.
