20th Century Swedish Set of Three Skultuna Tulip Candle Sticks by Pierre Forsell

A vintage Mid-Century modern Swedish set of three tulip candle holders, sticks made of hand crafted polished brass, designed by Pierre Forsell and produced by Skultuna, in good condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1970, Sweden, Scandinavia.

A: 7.5" H x 1.5 diameter

Pierre Forsell was a Swedish silversmith and designer born in 1925 Stockholm, Sweden and passed away in 2004. Forsell finished his apprenticeship as a silversmith and received his journeyman's certificate in 1949. He began working as a teacher at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. In 1955, Forsell started working as a designer for the Swedish company Skultuna Messingsbruk in Stockholm, were he gave Skultuna a new status in the late 60’s.

Skultuna is a Swedish glasswork, brass manufacturer founded in 1607 Skultuna, Sweden by the King Karl IX of Sweden as a brass foundry. Today Skultuna is one of the oldest companies in the world and it is still a purveyor to the Royal court of Sweden. Since 1607, Skultuna has produced high-quality products, items.
