A rectangular, vintage Mid-Century modern Swedish writing table, desk made of hand crafted polished Teakwood, designed by David Rosen for Nordiska Kompaniet, in good condition. The Scandinavian bureau plat is composed with two end extensions which are foldable. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940 - 1960, Sweden, Scandinavia.
David Rosén was born in 1910, in Sweden and passed away in 1993. His personal life and professional training remains lost in history. In the 1950's, Rosen designed and produced a wide array of case goods, tables and chairs, often brass-framed. One of his most famous work was for the Swedish designer company Nordiska Kompaniet, known also as Futura, developed in 1949.
