20th Century Swedish Vintage Scandinavian Beechwood Side Chair by Otto Schulz

A single, vintage Mid-Century modern Swedish side chair made of hand crafted polished Beechwood, designed by Otto Schulz for Boet in good condition. The button-tufted seat backrest of the Scandinavian center chair is slightly inclined, standing on for slanted wooden legs. Newly upholstered in a white Velvet. Circa 1930 - 1950, Sweden, Scandinavia.

Otto Schulz was a German architect, designer and publisher born in 1882, in Germany and passed away in 1970, in Gothenburg, Sweden. Schulz studied at several architectural schools in Germany, at the Technical University in Charlottenberg and the Architectural School in Berlin. In 1907, he moved to Gothenburg, Sweden and started working as a freelancer. Later in 1920, Schulz and Adolf Nordic Borg established their own company Boet. Over time, Schulz designed very opulent furniture.
