20th Century White Italian Marble, Glass Dining Room Table by Massimo Vignelli
A white-grey, vintage Mid-Century modern Italian large dining table made of hand crafted marble, designed by Massimo Vignelli in good condition. The sculptural table has a thick glass top, supported by three cylindrical bases of different thicknesses with grooved surfaces. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1970, Italy.
Massimo Vignelli was an Italian designer, born in 1931, in Milan, Italy and passed away in 2014, in New York City. Vignelli studied architecture at The Polytechnic University of Milan and later on at the Iuav University of Venice. In 1966, he moved to New York City to start working with Unimark International. In 1971, he founded with his wife Lella, Vignelli Associates, a design firm. His slogan was: If you can design one thing, you can design everything.
