Max Ingrand

Max Ingrand (1908–1969) was a celebrated French glass artist and decorator, recognized for his pioneering role in mid-century modern design. Born in Bressuire, France, he began his career as a stained-glass artist before moving into the broader field of interior design and lighting. His breakthrough came in the 1950s when he was appointed artistic director of Fontana Arte, a role he held for more than a decade.
